Come and witness the running of the $25,000 Capricornia Training Company Classic for 2-Y-O's run over 1200 metres at Callaghan Park on Thursday, March 25, 2010.

Welcome to the Rockhampton Jockey Club where thoroughbred horse racing is conducted 40 times a year at Callaghan Park.

The Club was formed in 1868 and since that date has continued to grow to become one of the largest provincial thoroughbred racing Clubs in Queensland.

The Club conducts the popular XXXX Gold Winter Racing Carnival in June each year which culminates with the running of the $100,000 Rockhampton Gold Cup and the popular Spring Carnival with race meetings that coincide with Caulfield Cup and Melbourne Cup Days.

The Club recently completed a major $6.5M track redevelopment in January 2010 which has made the racing surface at Callaghan Park the envy of Queensland Racing.

Callaghan Park is the perfect spot for a great day out - great racing, catering, facilities and service.
