The Variety Bash arrived in Rockhampton at Callaghan Park racecourse this evening, and its participants will celebrate their visit with a night of racing and fun.

Australia’s longest-running and most iconic charity motoring event, the Variety Bash is known for its flare and fanfare and it’s always a sight to behold when the Bash comes to town!

Tonight the “Bashers” line up their cars for the RJC event at the horse racetrack and will go greyhound racing, boosting the dog’s crowd numbers by at least 300.

This year’s Variety Bash is taking participants across the country in a colourful convoy from Swan Hill to Airlie Beach.

The 2024 Bash is themed “Red Dirt to Reef”, with its drivers experiencing the terrific extremes of outback roads and some of Australia’s stunning coastline.

The Rocky visit is day six of The Variety Bash, which for almost 40 years has been making a difference to regional communities and kids living with disability, illness, or experiencing disadvantage. From Rocky, the convoy makes its way to Mackay, then to its destination, Airlie Beach.
