Just two races were run at Callaghan Park on Thursday before a power outage in Northern suburbs stopped the races.

QRIC Stewards and the Rockhampton Jockey Club liaised with Racing Queensland and delayed the balance of the program as long as they could to get the remaining races run. But at 3.00pm, when the power was still not restored to the affected areas in Rockhampton, the decision was made to call the meeting off for the day and postpone the remaining six TAB races to Monday 3 November.

The fields and barriers (races three to eight) will be the same with the scratchings reinstated to the fields.

The newly scheduled 6-race TAB program on Monday will be followed by the four barrier trials which were also to be raced on Thursday.

A non-TAB Melbourne Cup Day local race program will be run on Tuesday 4 November and the club will hold further official trials and jump outs on Wednesday morning, 5 November.
