Raul ready to ride in Rocky again.

Uruguayan jockey Raul Silvera Olivera is set to return to Rockhampton to ride in the coming weeks.
Silvera Olivera left Rockhampton earlier this year and spent months in Kuala Lumpur hoping to return before the Rockhampton Carnival last July. However, he was denied a temporary work visa and had to return to Uruguay. The jockey worked with an Australian immigration lawyer and reapplied to the Department of Home Affairs. He was subsequently granted a Temporary Work Visa (subclass 400). The Visa will allow Silvera Olivera to ride here for another six months from his arrival date. The jockey is excited about his return. When I contacted him this week Silvera Olivera said he would be back at Callaghan Park soon. “I’m checking flights David, I’ll go as soon as possible,” he said.
