Rocky Cup fashions ‘a glamorous affair’.
Published 15 July 2024
The 2024 Phil Peel Jeweller Rockhampton Cup Fashions on the Field was almost as hotly contested as the action on the track, with entrants dressed to impress for the chance to be named best dressed, and win some incredible prizes.
David and Kerry Peel from Phil Peel Jewellers were the generous major sponsors of this year’s fashions, providing stunning jewellery pieces for the winners totalling over $10,000 in value. It was also a milestone for the long term supporters of local racing and fashions; 2024 being their 30th year as sponsors.
Tasked with the tough job of judging were Brisbane based style icon Dale Olsson and former fashion model and deportment teacher, Fleur Cowlishaw who were joined by local gentlemen judge Bruce Bentley who is known for his impeccable style and attention to detail. The trio were all in agreeance that judging Fashions on the Field at the Rockhampton Cup was incredibly difficult as there were so many fashionably dressed entrants.
MC extraordinare Aaron Stevens from Radio 9904RO, did a fantastic job on the day, with his quick wit and sense of humour, assisting entrants to feel at ease and enjoy the afternoon.
The winners and runners up in each category took home a swathe of stunning prizes and gifts, from sponsors Phil Peel Jewellers, Luxury Blooms and Hampers, Bentley Real Estate, Flick Pest Control, Wendy Mulry Travel, Brown Brothers Winery, Something Different and Something Different Coastal, Mark Bunt Menswear.
