Sheza Alibi set for spring return against Autumn Glow.

Star mare Sheza Alibi is set to kick off her spring carnival in Saturday’s Group 1 Winx Stakes (1400m), where a clash of the titans beckons against Chris Waller’s army, headlined by Autumn Glow.
Sheza Alibi, who is owned by Central Queensland grazier, Fred Noffke, won her maiden at Callaghan Park in April 2025, and has been on an astronomical rise to stardom in the months that followed.
The then-3YO filly was transferred from Rockhampton trainer Kris Hansen to the Victorian powerhouse of Pete Moody & Katherine Coleman this time last year, before winning at Flemington on Derby Day and then dominating the Sandown Guineas.
The autumn is when she really put her name up in the spotlight, smashing the boys in the Group 1 Randwick Guineas, before becoming the first 3YO filly since Sunline to win the Doncaster Handicap, rounding the field from near last to win in a canter under Jamie Melham.
The daughter of Saxon Warrior has had two trials and jump outs in Melbourne ahead of the spring, and now a trip north to Randwick – where she is two from two – is on the cards.
Sheza Alibi is expected to take her place in the $1,000,000 Winx Stakes this Saturday, with regular rider Luke Nolen, who is synonymous for riding Black Caviar, set to ride.
In her way, will be an army of master trainer Chris Waller runners, with superstar mare Autumn Glow set to start an odds-on favourite, as she looks to return to winning ways after suffering her first defeat in the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes in April.
Also lining up in the race will be three-time Group 1 winner and current Melbourne Cup favourite, Aeliana, as well as Golden Rose winner Beiwacht, Caulfield Guineas winner Autumn Boy, Australian Derby winner Green Spaces and Queen Of The Turf winner, Idle Flyer.
Sheza Alibi will jump from the inside barrier, with the race set to start at 4:30pm.
